Michelle Albanese is Head of TD's Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Diversity program and activities across Canada and the US, a part of the Bank's Ready Commitment. In this role, Michelle drives TD’s Responsible Sourcing program, which assesses and engages suppliers to adopt best practices for social, ethical and environmental corporate responsibility, including carbon emissions reduction. She also leads TD's Supplier Diversity program, encouraging the inclusion of diverse-owned suppliers to support enterprise-wide operations. Michelle has over 22 years of experience in the environmental and sustainability fields; a Master of Science from the University of Waterloo, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph. She previously worked in consulting, non-profit and government sectors. Michelle is currently on the Board of Directors of WBE Canada, which supports women entrepreneurs.
Andrew is responsible for developing and executing RBC’s corporate environmental strategy, more recently this work has focused on developing RBC’s enterprise approach to climate change. Andrew plays an important role in protecting and enhancing RBC’s brand through external engagement with key stakeholders such as investors, government, clients and NGOs on a range of environmental and social topics. The Environmental Affairs team is the Centre of expertise for the integration of environmental sustainability into RBC’s business and functional units and recent work has focused on sustainable finance, green bonds, science-based targets, responsible procurement, issues management and climate-related disclosures. Before joining RBC, Andrew worked as a consultant for Deloitte in the Environment and Sustainability practice. He also worked as an Air Quality Scientist for Jacques Whitford Environment. Andrew holds a BSc. from the University of Guelph in Natural Resources Management, an MSc. in Environmental Technologies from Imperial College in London, UK and has a Masters in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
Cecilia joined the City of Toronto’s Environment and Energy Division in the Policy and Research Unit in 2008. Cecilia and her team are responsible for conducting the research and analysis needed to quantify the environmental outcomes of existing and planned low carbon initiatives and ensuring that information is reported and provided to international organizations as well as necessary regulatory authorities, funders, the Toronto community and City Council. In 2016, Cecilia led the long term low carbon technical modelling work which underpins the recommendations for the City of Toronto’s ambitious climate action plan called TransformTO. Cecilia has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master's degree in Rural Planning and Development. In 2018, she was certified as an Urban Greenhouse Gas Inventory Specialist through the City Climate Planner Program of the World Bank Group and is a current contributor to the development of an Urban Climate Action Planning Specialist certification, also with the World Bank Group.
With over a decade of progressive experience in the municipal sector, Marco Iacampo has been advancing urban sustainability solutions to make Toronto a low-carbon City. Marco's expertise is in the areas of finance, energy conservation policy, and program design at the City of Toronto. Marco currently supports TransformTO – Toronto's climate change action plan – by securing funding contributions and innovative financing schemes. He has demonstrated leadership by managing significant City-wide projects including: the award-winning Home Energy Loan Program, property-assessed financing, energy benchmarking and transparency policies, and managing inter-governmental partnerships. Marco serves on the Board of Directors of the GTA Chapter of the Canadian Green Building Council. Marco is a graduate of the Schulich School of Business (York University), Project Management Professional (PMP) and an accredited LEED Associate.
Farah holds an honours degree in Applied Mathematics and has been working in the railroad industry for almost 30 years. She held various analytical positions at Canadian Pacific Railway before moving to Canadian National Railway (CN) and working in Sales & Marketing. She joined the Sustainability team 5 years ago in a new role focused on tracking and managing carbon for the company. The role has evolved to include managing the development and submission of CN’s annual CDP response, ensuring company compliance with emerging carbon pricing and renewable fuels regulations, and working with Sales & Marketing to leverage the environmental benefits of shipping rail with customers looking to reduce supply chain emissions. CN is proud to have made the CDP A-list the past 3 years in a row.
As a Global Leader for Corporate Social Responsibility at RBC Global Procurement, Kiruba is responsible for the strategy development and execution of Global Supplier Diversity & Responsible Procurement Program. To enable program success Kiruba works collaboratively with RBC global sourcing professionals to support supplier diversity program and supply chain climate control goals. He acts as CSR advocate with in RBC and to external stakeholders & suppliers. Prior to his current role, he was Director, RBC Procurement responsible for IT Services Category supporting across all RBC business units. Before joining RBC, Kiruba was managing the systems and server product distribution through reseller channels for Tech Data Canada. Prior to immigrating to Canada, as a general manager, he introduced Emachine Systems in the Dubai market. He was also a regional manager of Middle East operations for Taiwan’s largest systems manufacturer, First International Computers. And he set up MegaPlus International, a systems integrator company in Dubai and Sydney, Australia. Kiruba has been honoured with Procurement Business Advocate of the Year Award in 2017 by CAMSC and Corporate Leader by WBE Canada in recognition of his outstanding leadership in implementing Supplier Diversity in Canada. Kiruba is an Electrical & Electronics Engineer and post graduate in Computer Application and Business Management from India.
David is Senior Environmental Specialist in the City of Toronto's Environment & Energy Division where he has been a corporate staff lead on the issue of climate change and extreme weather risk management for the last 12 years. He provides leadership engagement of various city-owned and non city-owned infrastructure sectors in climate change risk assessment and management. Current projects focus on climate risk disclosure including consideration of interdependencies of sectors and impacts on vulnerable people. Prior to joining the City, for 17 years David was an environmental management consultant and Certified Environmental Auditor for over a dozen industry sectors across Canada and the northeast USA. David has taught courses at the university masters level on environmental management systems and urban climate adaptation. He holds a MA in Environmental Studies and a BSc in Geography.
